Your Rohans or your life!
August 6, 2018
Sometimes you have to take tough decisions. You have to sacrifice something you love for the greater good. I found myself facing just that conundrum atop a high peak in the mighty Atlas Mountains. My Rohan Explorers are dear to my heart but it was a life or death situation.

July 24, 2018
The Everest Trail Race is a 160km ultra running race with 15km of ascent over 6 days in the Himalayas. Taking it on is going to be Alice Morrison's toughest challenge yet. Is she mad? Quite possibly.
Oops! I seem to be running an ultra…
June 2, 2016
I had volunteered to go along and be the translator for the Trans Atlas Marathon, a six day trail running ultra across the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Little did I know that I would also be running it.
Planting a future in the Moroccan Mountains
March 25, 2016
I had gone up to the mountains to meet friends for a couple of days of hiking. Remote and wild, we had fantastic days out across canyons, up river beds and into secret valleys. Our host and guide, Ali, not only shared his knowledge and experience with us, he also invited us to help him plant a wood of almond trees. Leaving something for the future.
A million miles from ISIS

Macro and micro - two perspectives separated by just one tiny vowel. Living in a country which is not your own is a privilege. It gives you the chance to look at things differently. This story is about that community of spirit.

A mini adventure
April 23, 2015
Two days is long enough for a mini adventure. Especially when getting to the Atlas Mountains involves a battle with a bus driver, a hair raising ride up and a brakeless ride down a very twisty road, and a final safe haven in a tree house.
