Hiking the Jordan Trail

In December 2021 to January 2022 I hiked the Jordan Trail, with my guide Munther Al Titi, starting from the very north of this beautiful country at Umm Qais right down to the south at Aqaba and the Red Sea. It was an exciting new challenge of 675 km through some very unforgiving terrain and in some challenging weather.

On my very first day I got attacked by a dog and badly bitten. But after the wound healed enough, I carried on. The north was characterised by tiny villages, magnificent castles, ancient forests and mud! The south gave way to the desert with deep gorges and the red and gold sands of Wadi Rum.

I had some fantastic sponsors on board who supported the endeavour.

Battleface who do brilliant travel insurance for people like us. It covers FCO red countries, Covid medical expenses and you can even buy it when you are already on your trip.

Craghoppers whose kit I used to walk across the whole of Morocco. It is really hard wearing, comfortable and perfectly designed for long hikes. It is also award winning for its sustainability.

NTT DATA UK Diversity & Inclusion Team who have been staunch supporters and who are truly committed to diversity and supporting and encouraging women.

Waatr who make self-cleaning, UV water purification bottles.  They believe that everyone has a right to safe drinking water and so do I.

I documented everything on Social Media – check out the dog bite story….
